There's a moment every insite user eventually faces.
You've been thinking. Ideas layered across your browser, tagged and threaded together, thoughts rescued from the graveyard of a closed tab. It's finally working.
Then something shifts. You look back at what you've done and wonder: what now?
Until v1.5, there was nothing you could do in that moment
That changes today
"By students, for students" is the feedback loop we’re working with today. The interns in our Product Lab have been living inside the platform, using it, poking its edges and telling us, with admirable consistency, exactly what was missing.
We listened. We learned. Then we built. Then we listened again – because that's how this thing works. It’s the only approach to building a product that makes any sense.
The goal was always for the best software to quietly become more you. Less brain surgery, more magic. We had a whole conversation about which metaphor to use – and magic won, because it felt right.
So. What actually changed?
You can now:
- See and search a list of the hashtags you’ve used
- Add hashtags to thoughts after you’ve captured them by editing them
- Click hashtags to filter for matching thoughts, anywhere
- Delete what no longer make sense to you
In short, you can manage your thoughts to fit the thinker you are now, not the one who pressed save on a mildly chaotic Tuesday afternoon.
It sounds like a small thing. But it really isn't.
Hashtags are a symbol of how we think online: they're the connective tissue between your ideas, the quiet architecture underneath everything you've captured on the platform. Full control over them means full control over how your thinking is organised and how it develops over time. You can revise, refine, go back and make sense of something that made less sense at the time.
That's a different kind of platform
We called it The Legendary v1.5.
Probably should’ve called it something a bit less dramatic, but here we are.
The technical change log reads: edit, delete, hashtag management. What it actually means is a product that listens, builds, and listens again. Software shaped by the people using it every single day, asking the right questions at the right time.
Go make it yours.
Until next time,
