Announcing the first official Software Ambassadors of insite
This wasn't planned, at least not yet. As a startup, planning isn't everything. Instinct matters.
We’ve been watching the way people use insite – not the features, but for thinking. As we talked to users, they were doing more than just ‘using’ insite, they were poking at the very shape of the product. Questioning workflows. Surfacing edge cases. Asking way better questions than we were.
Meanwhile, we’d just had 1,000 students apply for internships across QA, research and dev – for 10 open slots. Which left 990 we weren’t ready to hire… and we weren’t ready to lose either.
That’s why the Ambassador programme is here today
It gives shape to what is already happening. A way to formally engage the people who were already showing up; the thinkers, the tinkerers, the outliers who weren’t just looking for change, but can actually help us deliver it.
We started with a small cohort. People testing insite in the wild - offering feedback that helped us build faster, better, and smarter. They've already guided the FAB redesign, our latest fixes, and dozens of micro decisions that make insite smoother to use.
A small community, already having a big impact on how we think and what we focus on.
The Software Ambassador programme is now live – and very much in motion, growing by the day. It’s not perfect. But it’s buzzing. And already, it’s leaving fingerprints all over our thinking as we consider how we evolve.
What we’re building isn’t just a piece of software. It’s a response – to bloat, to noise, to a version of digital life that never quite lands. The Ambassadors are here to help keep that response honest.
This moment matters because it sets the tone for what’s next. A product shaped not just by specs, but by sensibility. Not just by engineers, but by people who notice the fine grain of experience. People who want an alternative. People who want to play a part in creating something different.
To our first cohort: thank you. We’re building in front of you, and because of you.
To everyone else: if you haven't had that email yet - keep an eye out, we'll be round to you shortly.
Until next time,
- Team insite
